Terms of Service and Conditions of Use

I would like to outline the terms that govern my website and blog. Note these terms are subject to change and since I manually update this page it may not accurately represent my current policies. If you want my up to the minute stance on something, please contact me at: Katherine@ConsultativeRecruiting.com

The details below are meant to be a guide only. Provided you act maturely and always focus on providing value here to the job seeker community, I am delighted to have you comment.

Comment Policy

All comments are moderated through an anti-spam plug-in and possibly by hand as well. As such I can’t always guarantee your comment will get through. Please let me apologize now if by mistake I destroy it or if my anti-spam plugin mistakenly thinks it is spam.

Of course, I do my best to stop spam comments making it through, but they do sneak in sometimes. I always try to delete them as soon as I see them or someone points it out to me.

I reserve the right to delete comments for any reason if I deem them inappropriate for this blog. I will contact the comment author to explain why. If you are concerned your comment was deleted and you didn’t hear from me, it probably the anti-spam system. If you let me know, I may still be able to retrieve your comment if you can provide the email address you made the comment with. Again, my apologies in advance if I am not able to retrieve it.

Perhaps you are like me and don’t want to waste a lot of time trying to figure things out. I’m always happiest when someone can show me how to do something so I save time, effort and the accompanying frustration. In fact, I am paying a video consultant to come to my office next week to show me how to do better videos for this blog. If you saw the first one I posted several weeks ago, you know why!

This blog is a way for me to share what I’ve learned and am learning every day in today’s wild new frontier known as Job Search 2.0. Some of this comes from my own frequent job searches—one might think I have trouble holding down a job, but I’m pleased to say my last four jobs came from what I learned about getting into the hidden job market.

As a recruiter for some of the best known companies in the US, I get to talk to lots of hiring managers and candidates. I’m creating search strategies every day that leverage all of the most up-to-date ways to find candidates. So I know what is important to hiring managers, and what candidates should be doing to find jobs.

At the same time, I am happy and relieved to admit I don’t know everything. I’ll also admit that there are lots of ways to accomplish a successful job search. It’s important for you to have that information, and then do what feels right to you.

I want to provide some additional resources that can round out what we talk about here. If you buy something, it’s likely I will get a referral fee. I won’t be able to buy a pony with it, but if I ever leave my office, I could possibly have enough for lunch. I will always let you know if I’m getting a referral fee.

The bottom line is these are things that I think can help accelerate your job search. I’ll look forward to your thoughts on any of these products and how they helped you find a great new job.

As always, if you have any questions or if I can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

Wishing you the best,

Katherine
